Refreshing fruit infused water

Drinking fruit infused water is an easy way to increase your water intake.  It has only a few calories and it’s full of flavour so it will delight your senses.

Fruit infused water has lots of health benefits:

  • It boosts your metabolism.
  • It helps with weight loss – it fills you up so you don’t eat as much junk.
  • It flushes toxins from your system.
  • It’s a refreshing drink that keeps you hydrated all day long.
  • It helps your skin look healthy and young.

It’s great to have a boost of flavour to keep water interesting. These are some of the delicious and healthy recipes I tried in the last few weeks:

  2. I’ve been thinking of making a pitcher of fruit-infused water every day for my water intake. I usually drink plenty of water anyway, but I’d like to add the benefits of the fruit as well. Thanks for the suggestion of the Strawberry/Basil blend, as we have a Basil plant that is doing too good and despite the fact that we all like and use the basil in our home, it is still multiplying! This will give us something else to try it with. In the post it says 2 cups water…I’m guessing a whole pitcher would just have more fruit added? For instance, 1 lemon for 2 cups…

I never knew that it raised your metabolism – that’s a great reason for doing it. I’ve had cucumber water, and that’s well quite cucumbery !
