Cheese and bacon loaf

I have a bread maker and it’s brilliant for someone who has Fibromyalgia and can’t knead the dough for long as it’s too painful. I use it at least twice a week to make loaves of bread –  anything from a white loaf to a chilli tomato loaf. However, I only recently realised that I had missed the most important recipe in my bread maker recipe booklet – cheese and bacon loaf!  How did I not see this earlier?

If you have a Panasonic bread maker, I urge you to try this delicious recipe!

Medium loaf recipe

Strong White Flour 400 g

Sugar 1 tsp

Salt 1 tsp

Cheddar Cheese, grated 50 g

Water 270 mL

Yeast 3⁄4 tsp

Cooked bacon, chopped 50 g

Add all ingredients to the bread machine pan, except yeast, that goes in the yeast dispenser and the bacon goes in the raisin/nut dispenser.

Bake on setting 3, choose light or medium crust colour.

Occupy yourself for 4 long hours, try not to let bacon or cheese consume your every thought.

bacon-337529_640For the best loaf texture, remove immediately after the baking cycle is complete and cool on a wire rack before slicing!

Was it worth the wait?  Oh yeah……….scrumptious!  Bacon and cheese are the perfect duo! Definitely one of life’s little pleasures.

Keep smiling 🙂
